Living Stones Student Center

Andrew and Karen lived and served on the Palestinian West Bank throughout the four years of violence of the second Intifada or Uprising from 2000 to 2005. In that environment of conflict, Andrew with a team of Palestinian Christians and the Palestinian Bible Society founded Living Stones Student Center.  This multipurpose center serves students of Bir Zeit University and the community of Bir Zeit delivering Christ’s love in tangible and practical ways. During those difficult years Karen served as a midwife in the Red Crescent Hospital in Ramallah and helped found a birthing clinic in Bir Zeit.

Andrew comments, “As a ministry of the Palestinian Bible Society, it was the founding vision of Living Stones to make the Word of God available and relevant to the university community. We discovered a deep spiritual hunger expressed through the many requests for Bibles which Living Stones received.

Today Living Stones has expanded significantly beyond its original ministry to students.  It conducts a large ministry to women, discipleship for teens, youth camps, and more. Living Stones celebrated 20 years of ministry in May 2019!

Andrew also is committed to encouraging the Christians of Gaza and to bringing relief goods to homes in Gaza.  A project of the PBS is to install water filters in the homes of the needy.  The water is not potable from the tap.
