West Bank & Gaza

The Hebron Road International Church

In October 2019, Andrew was called to be the pastor of a congregation in East Jerusalem. After leading this congregation through the lockdown years of COVID-19 and the upheaval of the first year of the horror in Gaza, Andrew has transitioned to leading an online gathering of friends, most of whom have had a meaningful connection to the Palestinian people. Andrew says, “The Hebron Road wends its way from the burial place of Abraham, through Bethlehem, the birthplace of Christ, to Jerusalem, the city where the hope for humankind was wrought through the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ Jesus. Hebron Road symbolizes the whole span of salvation history, up unto the present, as we still walk on Hebron Road. We invite those who seek to journey with Christ in the way of the cross to join us in our online gathering. ”

Living Stones Student Center

Andrew and Karen lived and served on the Palestinian West Bank throughout the four years of violence of the second Intifada or Uprising from 2000 to 2005. In that environment of conflict, Andrew with a team of Palestinian Christians and the Palestinian Bible Society founded Living Stones Student Center.  This multipurpose center serves students of Bir Zeit University and the community of Bir Zeit delivering Christ’s love in tangible and practical ways. During those difficult years Karen served as a midwife in the Red Crescent Hospital in Ramallah and helped found a birthing clinic in Bir Zeit.

Andrew comments, “As a ministry of the Palestinian Bible Society, it was the founding vision of Living Stones to make the Word of God available and relevant to the university community. We discovered a deep spiritual hunger expressed through the many requests for Bibles which Living Stones received.

Today Living Stones has expanded significantly beyond its original ministry to students.  It conducts a large ministry to women, discipleship for teens, youth camps, and more. Living Stones celebrated 26 years of ministry in May 202025!

Andrew is also committed to helping the beleaguered Christians of Gaza.
